7 Step Process For Goal Setting | H4 Training

Jan217 Step Process For Goal Setting

1.You must first figure out what exactly what you want and write it down clearly, in detail. Make the goal measurable and specific. Don’t just say you want to lose weight. Say I want to lose 20 lbs and that you will get weigh in to see if you indeed did.

2.  Make sure you set a deadline for hitting the goal. If it’s a large goal, break it down into smaller parts and set mini goals. You must first figure out what exactly what you want and write it down clearly, in detail. Make the goal measurable and specific. Don’t just say you want to lose weight. Say I want to lose 20 lbs and that you will get weigh in to see if you indeed did.

 3.  List everything you need to do to achieve the goal.. As you think of new actions/tasks then add them to the list.

4. Organize your list of action steps into a plan. A plan is a list of activities organized on the basis of two elements, priority and sequence.

When you look at priorities these are the things that are most important for you to do on your list to hit your goal. If you don’t have priorities then you will spend too much of your time on small tasks that don’t help you achieve your goal.

When you look at sequence you are figuring out what needs to be done first before moving onto the next step. You create a checklist.

5. Identify the limitations and obstacles that could get in your way of achieving your goal.

Take a look and figure out the most important limitation that’s been holding you back, and then focus on getting rid of that limiting factor. It might something you need to learn or gain access to. It could be additional information you need. It could be the help or assistance of one or more people. Once you figure it out it is time to go to work to eliminate it.

6. With your goal decided, plan developed, and obstacles identified then go and start taking massive action on hitting that goal! The keys is to get the needle moving towards the right direction even if it is one small step.

7. Do at least one thing every day that moves you toward your most important goal. This will allow you to gain momentum and take you closer and closer!

Good luck!
